Come and worship with us through song, prayer, giving, and the preaching of God’s Word. Ron Forbis will be preaching a message title “What Did He Say?” from Matthew 16:21-25.

If you are unable to join us in person, you can watch online via our Facebook page. Of course, we do not consider viewing online to be a replacement for gathering with the body of Christ for worship and fellowship, but we understand that some people are simply unable to gather in person due to sickness, travel, or other circumstances. Thus, we are making these options available to serve those individuals.

Here is the rundown of our schedule for this week…

SATURDAY, AUGUST 5

8:00 – 9:00 a.m. = Men’s and Women’s Fellowships
–The women and men each have separate fellowship gatherings on Saturday mornings from 8-9. You are welcome to come and go as you are able. The women meet in the fellowship hall, and the men meet in the prayer chapel (Carson’s Family Group’s room). Invite others and join us for free coffee (or tea and/or lemonade) and snacks.

10:00 a.m. = Baby Shower for Jake and Kasey Ellis

SUNDAY, AUGUST 6

9:00 a.m. = Prayer Gathering
–Our weekly prayer gathering is a time to pray specifically for our church, our community, our country, and the advancement of the gospel to the world. Everyone is invited to join us, and we do not have other activities during this 15-minute time of prayer, including nursery or children’s activities, as we want all ages to join us and see the value, importance, and power of intentional corporate prayer.

9:30 a.m. = Family Groups (aka Sunday School)
–Family groups are Bible study fellowships for all ages – children, youth and adults. Nursery is included for infants and toddlers, too. We consider family groups to be an essential ministry for discipleship and relationships.

10:40 a.m. = Morning Worship Service (and live on Facebook)
–Morning worship is an essential time of growing in God’s Word together. It’s that time of the week when most of our church family is all together for the purpose of worshiping our Lord and building up His body. For those who are interested, we also provide nursery (toddlers and infants) and children’s ministry (kindergarten and below) during our morning worship services.

Then, in July, we have some youth joining dozens of other youth from the Grand Crossings Baptist Association on their annual mission trip to North Dakota. While there, they will continue their gospel ministry to Native Americans living on a reservation.

Finally, in November, we have a few people heading to Central Asia to minister to locals with the hope and promise of Jesus Christ.

Although there will be no childcare provided on Wednesday evenings during the summer months, we still encourage families with children to join us, as our Family Fellowship Devotions will be very informal and will be intentionally geared toward everyone, including children. We want to grow together as a family, and we believe this will be a great way to do that.

So, join us for supper at 5:45, followed by an informal time of fellowship (when the kids will be welcome to play games, play at the playground, etc.)* until 7:00, at which time we will have a short Bible study and group discussion time. For those interested and without children, prayer meeting will be from 6:30 – 7:00, at which time you can join the rest for Bible study.

*NOTE: Parents and guardians will be responsible for the supervision of their children during the entirety of our Wednesday evening activities.

Our Wednesday night meals resume TONIGHT at 5:45. Join us every week for delicious food and family fellowship here at Richland. If you want more information and/or want to help serve or prepare meals, please contact us.

TeamKID supercharged also resumes TONIGHT at 6:15. While we have TeamKID programs year-round, we get higher involvement and participation during the school year. Thus, we start at 6:15 (rather than our usual 6:30) to allow even more time for our youth and children to hang out, fellowship, grow in their faith and have fun. Youth and children, please join us! Parents, we’d love to have you come, too, as we have prayer and Bible study for adults at 6:30.

Our current Wednesday evening Bible study, Crazy Love, continues at 6:30. We are discussing God’s crazy, relentless, all-powerful, amazing love for us and how our lives are changed by His love. While we encourage you to read Francis Chan’s book along with joining this Bible study, you are not required to do so. Regardless, join us and be challenged to love God and love others.

Our weekly men’s ministry had our fall kick-off last night, as we went dove hunting at Whetstone Conservation Area outside Williamsburg. If you are interested in joining us for another hunting outing Saturday morning, please let us know. Also, our weekly fellowship and Bible study will begin next Tuesday (September 9), 6:30-7:30 p.m., in the fellowship hall. Hope you can make it, men! All following weekly fellowships will be on Monday evenings from 6:30-7:30, unless otherwise updated on our Men’s Ministry page.

As always, we encourage you to join us Sunday mornings for Sunday School (9:30) and worship (10:40).  Growing in the faith is both a vertical (you and God) and a horizontal (you and others) experience. Another great opportunity for corporate worship and family fellowship is found during our Sunday evening services from 6 to 7 p.m. Currently, we are doing The Story training, learning how we can better know, live and share God’s Story. This is a great opportunity for all ages, so please join us for this very informal and helpful time of worship, fellowship and encouragement.

This hunting outing is the fall kick-off for our Men’s Ministry and Bible study, which meets in the fellowship hall on Tuesday evenings at 6:30. If you have any questions, please contact us. Hope to see you Tuesday evening!

Because we believe studying God’s Word is essential for growth in the Christian faith and because we need one another in the body of Christ, we love getting together for Bible study. Going through different books of the Bible together, our men gather in the fellowship hall on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 – 7:30 to drink coffee, pray together, fellowship with one another and study the Word.
